I'm sorry. I know this isn't funny, but it actually is. It's actually very funny. Maybe you have to know Mars to really get how funny it is, but it's fucking funny. Right now she's in the hospital with salmonella poisoning. What's funny about that is that it has nothing whatsoever to do with any of her other many medical problems. It is just Pure Mars Medical Luck. Just... salmonella. Poisoning. Just for kicks. Out of the blue. She eats something, just like a regular person would, and then she shits and shits and shits and her fingers pucker up. And it has to be noted, her symptoms started while she was in Baltimore at a conference about her other major medical malfunction, a genetic disturbance so rare that none of us can pronounce it, the source of her stroke, and the balloons and springs in her lungs, which happened to lead to fucking Pleurisy... which is so goth, so very very Mars. It just all leads up to the point where I don't see her on IM for a few days, and I'm like "fuck, i hope it's nothing serious" and I ping her and then i get the call from her in the hospital and it's food poisoning and I laugh. I laugh at my very best friend in the entire world having food poisoning. Does that make any sense? It's just kinda a mixture of "What are the odds?" and "HA. Figures." I hope she's better by Saturday cause i'll be in town. It's also funny cause we used to call her little brother Sam "Salmonella Ice" when he was 13. Before he got totally outrageously hott (though that's just me, i don't know if mars is really into him like that). Thunk at 11:55 AM |
